Server help, people who ACTUALLY know what they're doing (Ludi?)

So, i was bored today and decided to create my own server. I got it up and running but it says "server.cfg not present; not executed." i have it where it's supposed to be (C:\srcds\orangebox\garrysmod\cfg) So... what's the problem?

Copy and paste the cfg. Otherwise, we can't really tell...

Welp, I don't see anything wrong with it, but I'm not exactly a professional.

It doesnt have to do with my config i dont think, it's saying its not there. I googled this for like 3 hours and got nothing.

One doesn't just make a server...

well i did, and its up, im just having config issues. and i'm not just ONE. Testie's TTT is the name look it up.

You need to open your ports on your modem for it to work.

It sounds like it's not running your server.cfg...

Under the batch file that starts your server, make sure to specify that it should run from the server.cfg.

I can take a look if you'd like message me on steam and install team viewer before doing so

Snowflake: I don't have issues with people joining or the server not being visable, and I've already forwarded my ports.

Ludi: Like I said this was my first experience with srcds and I didn't specify in the .batch to use server config..... but thanks. Lol

Okay, I finished the !motd and it just failed. I would need to know more about what programs you use on the server such as admin commands and mods for it to work properly.
