Rules: Random Death Match (RDM)
RDM
The acronym “RDM” stands for “Random Death-Match”. It is the mere act of killing another player for unexplainable, unreasonable, or false reasons. For example, if you were Innocent, while playing a round of Trouble in Terrorist Town, and decided to kill another player just because you thought they acted a little suspicious, that would be considered “Random Death-Match”, even if the player was, in fact, a Traitor. Unless you’re a Traitor, killing other players should always have solid reasoning behind it, otherwise – you will be punished for RDM.
Before calling out, targeting, or killing another player, make sure that you have one of the following reasons:
1) You directly witnessed the player deal harm to another. This may include the player having shot another player, being the first to engage. As well, this may include the act of throwing incendiary grenades at individuals, or groups of other people. Killing players for holding Traitor weapons is reasonable, if you can prove that there were no Traitors that they could’ve obtained the weapons from. As well, if you witness a player plant a C4, stab someone with a knife, fire an AWP, or use any other kinds of Traitor features, you may kill them on sight.
2) You have obtained DNA from either a body, or Traitor weapon. Detectives spawn with DNA scanners, and are the ones responsible for searching for clues to hunt down Traitors. However, when Detectives die, their equipment lays loose around their bodies, allowing any living player to pick them up. If you have scanned a body, or a Traitor weapon, and have obtained a DNA trail, you may kill the suspect on sight. Make sure that you actually obtain the DNA, as the logs can be checked to double check that you did.
3) A living player has purposely walked past an unidentified body, or even multiple. If you do notice that a player has, in fact, strolled by a body, where it is clear that he/she is not checking it on purpose, you may shoot at them. However, be careful about using this option, as some people purely miss the bodies, and do not notice them as they walk past. Make sure that the situation is not a pure mistake, and that your kill is reasonable. When a player runs past multiple unidentified bodies, and pretends not to notice them, you may kill him/her.
4) A player has been called out. Once again, be weary about this option. Many Traitors choose to confuse the Innocent by calling out another Innocent player, and framing him/her. This does not count as RDM, but is, more or less, a reasonable reason to kill someone. If a player has died, calling another player’s name out, it is reasonable to shoot them on sight.
When it comes to being the victim of a “Random Death-Match” scenario, you must make sure that there is strong evidence backing up your call on “RDM”. If you were a Detective, and you were killed, wait until the end of the round to report the incidence, if you were killed by an Innocent player. If you were Innocent, and were killed by another Innocent for no reason, wait until the name of the round to obtain the player’s name, and all the other required information. However, if you were a Traitor, and were killed for no reason – you haven’t killed anyone, planted any explosives, and hadn’t pulled out any weapons – then the player that did kill you will be questioned and punished.
Rules of “Random Death-Match” apply to every player, even administrators. If a player has killed another for no apparent reason, they will be questioned, by an administrator, about their reasoning behind the kill. If they fail to provide proper reasoning, they will be punished. If no administrators are online during the time of the “RDM”, quickly open console, in between rounds, and type “ttt_print_damagelogs”, and/or screenshot the “Events” tab, where the violator’s kills are clearly displayed. Post the evidence on the forums.
The punishment will go as follows:
RDM x1 (First Offense) = Warning.
RDM x2 (First Offense) = A slay, or an hour ban.
RDM x3 (First Offense) = A day – up to three days..
RDM x4 (First Offense) = Permanent ban.
RDM x1 (Second Offense) = Slay.
RDM x2 (Second Offense) = Day ban.
RDM x3 (Second Offense) = Week ban.
RDM x4 (Second Offense) = Permanent ban.
RDM x1 (First Offense) = Warning.

Re: Rules: Random Death Match (RDM)
add something about crying wolf to this. Honestly it's annoying when you get those players who Cry RDM every round and then turn out not to be rdm'd ever. This is becoming a huge problem with a lot of new players. I think someone needs to put something up that if you are constantly crying rdm we can ignore you after about the 8th time.
